
Ronnie Corbett
Ronnie holds a Masters in Psychology from UCD and a Masters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing from Waterford Institute of Technology. With more than 30 years’ experience working with people in the areas of positive mental health, bereavement, depression and anxiety, work stress and addiction; Ronnie has developed a broad expertise in the field and is passionate about the benefits that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychotherapy can bring.
Ronnie is a specialist in CBT and incorporates a person-centred and holistic approach to support people to grow and develop as individuals and to deal with emotional and health challenges they may face.
Ronnie is also qualified in suicide prevention and has worked extensively in this area including the development and delivery of individual and group support programmes for clients who self-harm or have attempted suicide.
Ronnie has also completed Autism Spectrum Disorder Training for Professionals and has many years’ experience working with clients with ASD.
Ronnie holds Post Graduate qualifications in Senior Management and Business Strategy from the Open University and as a Director and partner in several national and EU Projects over the last 30 years he has gained expertise in developing and implementing initiatives in social and vocational rehabilitation, mental health & social enterprise, supported employment, training & supports for people with acquired brain injury and programmes for reducing occupational stress in employment.
Ronnie puts strong emphasis on empowerment and works in partnership with each client, in a non-judgemental manner, to nurture and develop their unique skills and resilience in order to enable them to manage their own mental health and wellbeing.
