How long does therapy last?

The length of treatment will invariably vary from person to person. There are no hard and fast rules. Nonetheless, we do suggest to people at the outset that Rome wasn’t built in a day and that they would be better preparing for a more long term engagement for substantial changes to be brought about.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary from €50 for intern psychotherapist and up to €90 depending on which associate you are attending.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Clients are expected to give 24 hours notice of a cancelled appointment. If not then they are liable for the full fee for that session.

Is there a waiting list?

Oakwood are able to provide up to 500 consultations per week to ensure that clients don’t have to wait long for an appointment.

Who will I see?

We have a total of 35 professionals currently on our team working at oakwood.  The practice administrator in consultation with the clinical director will identify which available team member is best suited to deal with each presenting issue.  To this end, she may need to gather some basic information from you when you ring in to make an appointment.  This information is retained by Oakwood on our register of referrals.

Are my details and sessions confidential?

All dealings with clients are dealt with in the strictest confidence.  Clients attending Oakwood will be seeing one of our 35 independent professional practitioners.  These are self-employed professionals each of whom retains their own private notes on each person they are seeing.  These files containing personal detail of each client are not the property of Oakwood.
