Psychotherapist and Relationship Mentor
A compassionate and trauma-informed psychotherapist, Mary brings an understanding and experience of neurodiversity to her practice. Her expertise encompasses the diverse ways in which individuals process, learn, and experience the world, recognising that neurological differences are natural variations of the human experience. This includes working with individuals who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other neurodivergent profiles.
With a humanistic and integrative approach to therapy, Mary creates a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly heard and supported. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful growth. She collaborates with individuals, couples, and adolescents who are navigating psychological or emotional challenges and is skilled in addressing a variety of client needs and tailors her approach to everyone.
Mary is an Associate of Oakwood Psychology Services and before joining Oakwood she was part of the Counselling Team at the University of Limerick (UL). Mary holds a MSc (Honours) in the Psychotherapy of Relationship Mentoring from Technological University of Shannon (TUS). Mary also holds a BSc (honours) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in collaboration with PCI College, A Specialist Diploma in Neurodiversity Informed Practice. Professional Certificate in Couples Counselling and a Diploma in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy. Mary is accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
Mary’s mission as a psychotherapist is to guide clients in developing deeper self-awareness, fostering empowerment, and taking meaningful steps toward greater self-understanding. She is dedicated to helping clients uncover their inner strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and create a more fulfilling and purposeful path ahead. Her Co-Creational approach values each client’s unique individuality and recognises their inherent strength, wisdom, and resilience. By cultivating trust and creating relational safety, Mary’s quest is to help clients seeking to understand their protective behaviours and to bring to consciousness what lies hidden – one’s true Self.
