    Jacqui is currently working towards full IACP accreditation and is an experienced psychotherapist with over 13 years of practice, supporting clients facing challenges including Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), suicide, depression, anxiety, dementia, Grief, Alzheimer’s, and addiction. She also specialises in using Community music group therapy to therapeutically support individuals with profound non-verbal, autism, and challenging behaviours.

    In a compassionate, non-judgmental, no-label environment, Jacqui takes a flexible, person-centered approach, empowering both ‘Adult & Adolescent’ clients to shape their own path toward well-being, based on their unique needs and preferences

    Education:

    Jacqui achieved an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy (2.1) with IICP College Dublin, where she studied direct and non-direct approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),   Psychodynamic Therapy, Positive Psychology, Existential, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused Therapy. In 2011, Jacqui completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy from University Limerick (UL). She earned an MA in Community Music from UL in 2005. Additionally, she attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy in 2021 with Middlesex University-PCI, and she is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, as well as a certificate in Integrative Sand Therapy (BACP approved).

    Professional Experience:

    Prior to her psychotherapy career, Jacqui successfully directed her own Montessori school for 23 years, which was featured on RTÉ’s Evening Prayer in 2002. With extensive experience spanning more than two decades, Jacqui has worked with organisations such as, Headway, Pieta House, Cuan Mhuire, the Brothers of Charity, and Limerick Social Services.

    Publications:

    In 2021, she designed and published The Gnome on My Toe, a children’s book which sold over 3,000 copies internationally and nationally, where it was widely supported by the Limerick City and County Childcare Committees & County Council Libraries.
