
Dr. Boris Hunka
Dr Boris Hunka is an accredited psychotherapist with IAHIP and ICP, working with adolescents and adults. He holds a Masters in Integrative and Humanistic psychotherapy, a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and additional trainings in adolescent, existential and group therapy. He has been awarded a doctorate by the University of Limerick for research around creativity and relational connection.
Boris is resident in a number of health and community programmes for organisations including the HSE and ETBI. He lectures in a number of universities and has been much in demand as speaker and facilitator at conferences and events throughout Ireland and further afield in Europe and Asia.
In addition to his work in the field of psychotherapy Boris is an active musician and runs a number of music and wellbeing programmes including Limerick City’s Music Generation programme. In 2019 Boris was named a Social Entrepreneur of the Year and was awarded SEI Youth Mental Health award for the Ease Project – a ground breaking programme harnessing music to provide preventative mental health interventions in schools.
