Debora Lima
Debora Lima is a Psychologist having completed her undergraduate degree in 2008 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro/ Brazil. and her postgraduate in 2009 Mental Health and Psychosocial Care at the ENSP-Fiocruz (Public Health
Foundation of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro). She has also trained in teaching yoga, mindfulness and meditation.
Her primary experience is with severe disorder cases in psychiatric hospitals with inpatients and outpatients. She has worked in mental health community centers. She was a Senior Psychologist in a Therapeutic Residential Service for people with
severe mental disorders.
Since graduating she also operates her own private practice in different settings treating schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and trauma. Her approach is psychodynamic which revolves around self-reflection and self-
examination, and the use of the relationship between therapist and patient as a window into problematic relationship patterns in the patient’s life. Since moving to Ireland, she has become a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
