R.P.N., Dip. IGC, Cert. B. Ther., MIAHIP. Catherine is an Accredited Psychotherapist (I.A.H.I.P.) and graduate of the Irish Gestalt Centre. Her core training is in Gestalt Therapy which is a humanistic and integrative psychotherapy. In addition to this she has completed training in Couples, Family Therapy, Organisational work and Behaviour Therapy.
Catherine’s background is in Mental Health Nursing, which began following a brief period spent as shop assistant and in office administration. She has over 30 years’ experience as Staff Nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager working with a diverse clientele ranging from acute to those with severe and enduring mental health difficulties in both Community and Hospital settings. Catherine completed her career with the South Tipperary Mental Health Services as a Therapist in Clonmel, Cashel and Tipperary Town. She has gained additional experience as a Therapist in The Student Counselling Department at the University of Limerick. Catherine is currently working as an Associate Therapist in Oakwood, Private Practice in Ardfinnan, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and with SHIP (Self Harm Intervention Programme) in the South East.
