Dr. Declan Aherne is founding chairperson of the Division of Psychologists Specialising in Psychotherapy in the psychological society of ireland (PSI); it now has 60 members. This has been a pioneering initiative, developed over a ten year period and provides all psychologists who have trained as psychotherapists a firm identity within their professional body. Dr. Lucy Smith is the Division secretary.
