Oakwood Psychology and Psychotherapy Consultants

FAQ

How long does therapy last?

The length of treatment varies from person to person. There are no hard and fast rules. Nonetheless, we suggest at the outset that Rome wasn’t built in a day and that clients prepare for a longer-term engagement to achieve substantial changes.

How much does it cost?

Costs range from €50 for an intern psychotherapist up to €100, depending on which associate you see.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Clients are expected to give 24 hours’ notice for a cancelled appointment. If notice is not given, they are liable for the full fee for that session.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes, due to demand for services and depending who you wish to see, there may be a waiting period of a number of weeks. Our administrator will do her utmost to arrange an appointment for you at the earliest possible convenience. Oakwood can provide up to 750 consultations per week to ensure that clients don’t have to wait long for an appointment.

Who will I see?

We have over 60 professionals on our team. The practice administrator, in consultation with the clinical director, will identify which team member is best suited to address your needs, subject of availability. Basic information may be gathered when you call to make an appointment. This information is retained on Oakwood’s register of referrals.

Are my details and sessions confidential?

All client dealings are handled in the strictest confidence. Clients see one of our independent professional practitioners, who retain their own private notes. These files are not the property of Oakwood.
